Usually, a personal trainer is someone who helps you achieve specific fitness goals, either weight loss or strength or toning, etc. etc. etc…. What is unusual is to meet a PT that can influence your life to be the best version of yourself and always remind you that you can do it…

When I met Diago, I was almost paralyzed very weak, no energy, and life wasn't friendly with me. Adversity came along the way, and many obstacles raised up on my surface. During all that, Diago didn't give up on me… He used to call me when I canceled the session just to encourage me to change my mind and do the session… He never gives up on me when I was in pain. He uses to bring me to the gym sometimes to do a simple workout that helps ease my pain…

I was always obsessed with strength, and one of my main goals is to have it… He helped me achieved those goals… I am now part of a dragon boat team I do boxing and hiking.

Diago didn't only train my body; he inspires me to have a proper mindset to stick to the routine and keep trying… He had the patient to explain the workout and what I should do and shouldn't do for my injuries… And most important, he had the patient to answer my "stupid annoying" questions and educate me in the fitness subject…

You can say it is easy to motivate clients when they are sitting in front of you, but the real challenge that Diago did with me, he kept that motivation existed even when he wasn't around.

Training with Diago began with group classes that he used to coach called warrior workouts. I was impressed with his dedication to form and technique even while coaching a large group and knew he would be the perfect fit as a personal trainer for me as I needed to get my basics right that would build a platform for sustainable results.

Diago has a very deep understanding of the human anatomy and he applies this knowledge to the workouts that ensure maximum results while keeping you safe from injuries. This combined with his advice on food and tracking my macronutrients put me on track to loose more than 20Kgs within a year.

I won 3rd place in the the UAE sports 360 Fit awards 2016 thanks to his training and have not looked back since on my journey to achieve bigger goals.

In the 2 years that I have been training with him, I have realised his biggest assets is his personality and how he manages to keep my spirits up with humour and compassion because that what has kept me on the proverbial treadmill!!

I started with Diego when I had come back from my knee surgery so weak and chubby. I worked out three months under his supervision and programs, and I recovered so well that I could play tennis and run properly. I lost almost 8 kgs, and I was a different person.

I really enjoy being trained by Diago…no matter what mood you are in, he has such a positive aura about him that is so infectious! I have been suffering from knee and shoulder pains for the past year and happy to say that since starting with Diago, both pains have improved by 80% (something my physiotherapists could not do). He also takes the time to understand and listen carefully to what your goals are and gets you there the RIGHT way!

Diago is also so great at teaching you the precise technique and making you feel the difference by showing you what you've been doing wrong and how it should feel when you do it right, something that very few PTs can do these days. I hope this is ok – feel free to edit! I've been training with Diago for about 15 months now. It's been a great experience, and I really enjoy the training with him even though it's tough and sometimes challenging to find the motivation! – I've become stronger and physically more defined over this period. He certainly works me hard in a structured way, so I know what to expect at each session, and he changes routines every 3 months or so, which is also really good. He is very relaxed, and while training, you hard doesn't put pressure on you. I like that!

Diago probably cares more about you getting your perfect body more than you do, so it is hard not to be swept along by his passion (and compassion).

I came to him lacking the power and the motivation to get back on fitness track; my job was taking over me completely! Mentally, emotionally & physically. His follow-up, flexible scheduling, and great attention during sessions have helped me get back in shape earlier than my expectations.

Also, I provided me with advice on personal workout time apart from the private sessions, to help me benefit most from PT!

Back in June 2014, I was unfit and obese weighing around 115kg and visited my doctor regularly for checkups due to a lifestyle I stuck with for 4 years.

My wife decided to sign me up at the gym as a birthday present. I went twice and gave up. One day in July 2014, Diego called me and reminded me to book my free assessment.

After meeting him I signed up my first 10 sessions with him starting the next day. I have to admit my first session was a disaster and I almost fainted.

Diago was very supportive and told me not to worry and that this was very normal. Exercising became a lifestyle and motivated me to also eat healthy and sleep properly.
